Job: Retail Cosmetic Sales Associate - Full Time: Macy's Edison Mall

Overview:

Promote the sales of cosmetic merchandise and proprietary credit card use by meeting or exceeding standards for productivity, credit solicitation and merchandise presentation.

Key Accountabilities:

Greet and approach customer promptly to determine type and quality of merchandise desired.
Display merchandise, suggest selections that meet customer's needs and emphasize selling points of merchandise such as quality and utility.
Suggest multiple items.
Maintain product knowledge awareness by attending seminars and training classes and by reading product knowledge literature.
Participate in pre-selling and driving events by maintaining an active client book.
Process transactions on Point of Sale terminal following prescribed procedures. Receive payment or obtain credit authorization. Recommend proprietary credit to all customers not using Macy's charge. Wrap or bag merchandise for customer.
Place new merchandise on display. Ensure maintenance of prototype standards.
Participate in physical inventory of stock as requested.
Obtain merchandise from stockroom; fill in stock as requested.
