On November 3, 1977, the Marco Island Area Chamber of Commerce was incorporated. Chambers of commerce do not discriminate regarding membership opportunities. Our by-laws state that all persons, firms and corporations interested in the civic and economic well-being of the Marco Island area will be eligible for membership. Our Chamber, therefore, unites the efforts area businesses and residents to improve the economy and build a better community. The Board of Directors sets the general policy and direction of the Marco Island Area Chamber of Commerce. Chamber membership is comprised of business people and interested residents from various sectors of the community. Day-to-day operations are carried out by a well-qualified staff. Utilizing sound business practices, they fulfill the Chamber's mission in a professional and organized manner. Staff also coordinates the efforts of the many volunteers who work daily to promote the Chamber members and their businesses. The Marco Island Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center operates as a visitors and information center for the Marco Island area and the members of the Marco Island Area Chamber of Commerce. Our office hours are 9 am - 5 pm Monday to Friday. Marco Island, located at the southernmost tip of mainland Florida’s west coast, is the largest inhabited isle of the "Ten Thousand Islands." Marco Island provides an escape filled with sun-washed beaches, the tranquil waters of the Gulf of Mexico, a warm climate year-round, tropical adventures, extraordinary back country fishing and much more.
